A Muster Point For Your Mind
Muster Points are foundational to Emergency Action Plans on the construction site. In an emergency, these plans provide a safe space away from hazards where people on construction sites can reconnect, assess the situation, and respond.
The Construction Careline is a mental muster point where you can get confidential support for whatever you’re dealing with. There are a lot of personal challenges inherent in working construction — challenges that impact your mental health.
The Construction Careline is a confidential, non-judgmental, and safe space to get support for tough challenges.
If you are outside the state of Oregon you can call 1-833-444-6020 24 hours a day.

Your Mental Health Matters
The construction industry has the second highest rate of suicide among all trades, and we lose more construction workers to suicide than workplace accidents and injuries. In 2022, we lost over 6,000 construction workers to suicide.
There’s a lot about your job that can lead to mental distress, isolation, and misuse of alcohol and drugs:
- Long days
- Overtime
- Work travel and time away from home
- Stress
- Seasonal layoffs
- High-pressure deadlines
- Physical pain
Prioritizing your mental health is vital to your safety and the safety of your crew members.
If you are struggling with intrusive negative thoughts and feeling hopeless, we are here to help you regain your mental strength, take control, and find a way forward.
We’re here for you 24 hours a day. Call us 503-433-7878 (in Oregon) or 1-833-444-6020 (outside Oregon).
A crisis in Oregon and across the nation. Suicide risk and mental health challenges are jobsite safety issues.

Asking for Help is a Strength
Private, Nonjudgmental Support for Everyone
Talking with others about our feelings or challenges that we’re facing can be extremely difficult, especially in construction culture where certain topics are not discussed.
You deserve support, even if:
- You like to handle situations on your own.
- You don’t like others to know you’re struggling.
- You say “I’m okay” even when you’re not.
- You don’t like relying on others.
- You don’t have someone you can count on.
- You’ve already tried to “just get over it.”
We’re here to help you through. Privately.

We strive for a job-site culture where mental health conversations are as routine as safety updates and the morning stretch and flex. Learn more: www.suicide-stops-here.org
